50mm f/1.8 is such a fun little lens, I enjoy it but the AF is just a bit too shit unless you're in excellent lighting. If you find yourself using it a lot, check out the 50mm f/1.4 or the 85mm f/1.8, they're both similar price (300ish used if I remember correctly) but the AF is much better.

Canon 85mm on a full-frame body + LCDVF = amazing run and gun unit.
