1. Everybody in the america's first thought is going to be, "Hey, let's go to wal-mart/bass pro/academy etc. etc. so we can stock up on guns, ammo, and food! then we can chill on the roof and snipe bitches all day!" It may sound like a grand idea, until you realize that everyone else is there. More people = more opportunity for confusion/conflict amongst survivors. Your best bet is to stockpile before the apocalypse so you can move away from urban environments while everyone else is rushing towards them. 2. Vehicles are going to be difficult to maintain in a world where everything gets shut down. Traffic will back up on most major highways to a standstill where people will eventually abandon their cars causing extreme clogging issues. Another point of interest being fuel. I'm sure you don't want to siphon every drop of fuel you want to use, and electricity/fuel pumps will probably be shut off in many areas for any of a hundred reasons. I would either invest (or find) a good mountain bike with a pull behind trailer like some people use to pull their kids. Not only does it serve to move you around, but it keeps you in shape as well. as previously mentioned, rule #1: cardio. Zombie Survival kit - B-Dub - 06-10-2011 invest in solar panels and maybe even one of those small electric cars Zombie Survival kit - 32ndKnockout - 06-10-2011 Quote:

you can always take a cloth and several small panels that you get from say yard lights and sew them onto the cloth and link them together. another idea is i saw on "effin science" that they did something smiler to charge power tool batteries and used the drills to power a scooter. if you were to rig up panels that you can throw over your backpack and have a charger in your backpack and 2 batteries, that should get ya pretty far. well, during the day at least. Zombie Survival kit - 32ndKnockout - 06-10-2011 not bad... never even considered dismantling the little solar lights and raping them for solar cells Zombie Survival kit - B-Dub - 06-10-2011 and when the outbreak hits, i doubt all your neighbors that own them will notice when they go missing you could even keep the LEDs and use them later if you need light. maybe in a cave or dark house? they dont need the housing to work so they would be easy to store. Zombie Survival kit - CLD107 - 06-10-2011 Damn i thought i planned. Time to replan. Lol. Yyall made very good points. I will get back to ya. What i really want is the huge containers buried underground with a air flow and now thanks to yall solar energy. But what to do for sewage? Zombie Survival kit - B-Dub - 06-10-2011 well, if you grow your own food you can use your own poop to fertilize. plus your urine can help ward off some animals you dont want around. Zombie Survival kit - B-Dub - 06-10-2011 also poop once dried out usually burns real nice. doesnt smell the best but its a good way to get it going.
