you dont want to put dot 5 in ure bike i believe 5 is for cars ure manual will tell you to only use dot 4\r\n

\r\n \r\n u should get it out asap dot 5 is silicone based and your not suposed to run any silicone based brake fluid in your bike\r\n

+1 I wouldnt risk it. I always use the brake fluid that says capable with dot 3/4. That is silicone based.\r\n

\nEDIT: Seriously, why not? Ryan S. said he\'s been running the stuff for years without any problem. I know you\'re not supposed to mix 5 with 3,4, or 5.1, so as long as I\'ve flushed out all the old fluid why would there be a problem? (not trying to sound arrogant, just trying to learn)\r\n

\r\n \r\n Yesir... dot 5 no good. Crystallizes inside and blows grommets. Go dot 4 racing fluid. I prefer RBF600. But any dot 4 will do.\r\n

thought about that but the overflow up there wouldnt make to much sense to have the overflow up there, plus the only red antifreeze i know of is VW, an its more pink then redQuote:
