if you took the reeds out with the clean air mod you are probably making pressure in your crank case and thats bad for performance not to mention you could blow out some gaskets ..
\n
\nif you take out the reeds and use block offs thats ok as long as you vent your crankcase but then youre not getting any advantage from the scavenging effect from the exhaust ...\r\n

thats all fine and good but if youre not venting the crankcase some how you are building pressure instead of a vacuum ..
\n
\nif you take your oil filler cap off and cover it with your hand with the bike running is there pressure or suction ?\r\n

how does taking out the reeds build pressure? the hose goes from the crankcase up to the t fitting, to the valve cover. taking the reeds out should only allow oil to drain into the valve cover faster if need be..wouldnt it? either way, its not venting..more like circulating.\r\n

\r\n
that makes sense in theory ... if its just circulating and its not an open loop , pressure is going to build up with the reeds in or out if ever the pressure builds up ?? ...\r\n
