How much did a 50 help you learn? - 12oclocker - 12-01-2009 a 50 always felt much harder to me, to small to control, I picked up an XR80 though, that's a good practice bike, feels more comfortable. How much did a 50 help you learn? - Sogan88 - 12-01-2009 fiddy all the way
How much did a 50 help you learn? - Nappy - 12-01-2009 No 50s ever here. I got an f3 in like 98 or some shit way back. So I learned the old fashioned way along with alot of us old schoolers. It's way too easy to learn to stunt now with all the goodies available. You'll have fun though!

How much did a 50 help you learn? - Aaron Colton - 12-01-2009 I think riding small bikes first helped me advance at least 6 months faster. How much did a 50 help you learn? - bulletchicken - 12-01-2009 Quote:
How much did a 50 help you learn? - buddy lenzin - 12-01-2009 Here is my experience with a 50. I stared riding an 05 636, was introduced to the stunt scene and wanted in. I started pow pow wheelies on my 05 but was to scared to get to BP cuz I didnt want to fuk up my minty bike (that I was still making payments on) I couldnt afford another bike at the time.... A friend was selling his 50 so I jumped on that and bought it up quick. (now remember I have only ever done pow pow wheelies in my life) I got the 50 and started to learn it. I started with "dual" fag drags...lol I had bot my feet planted on the ground as I rode a wheelie, and in time got to 1 foot. I could ride no foot wheelies on my 50 for short distances. This stayed like this for a few weeks. Then one day it clicked. I was able to ride across the lot with both feet up, and began to use the rear brake. After a few days I could go everywhere on one wheel and had the rear brake down pretty good. Only time I would loop it was because of the damn under powered HB cable system on the damn 50's..... Then one day I got an 04 636 stunt bike. I ws riding the 50 for about a year prior to this. I was bitch at first, I was scared. I almost didnt want to have to learn cuz I thought I would fall down go boom! After a few days of squid power clutch ups, my friends got me on stagard stand ups. and I never once crashed learning BP. I wouldnt catch BP right off the bat but after 20 minutes I was soo close. After a day or 2 I was at BP! Not on it for too long but I was hitting it on and off. I did go down once from a mouse trap in the early going thats it.. This was last year.... Now I can do more but by all means not very good.. That is my progression on BP from a 50 to a 636 ninja. From never ever using the rear brake in a wheelie on a big bike to having it come naturally after I was on a 50... IDK, thats me. Everyone is different. Alot of people say FUK 50's THEY'RE GAYER THAN AIDS... maybe..but it worked for me... How much did a 50 help you learn? - Shane124 - 12-01-2009 50's are good to learn throttle and brake control, and when you loop a fiddy you can usually run it out might not be so lucky with the big bike |
