04 636 Impaktech cage vibration - SQUINTS - 06-02-2015 There is no sequence just tighten what's loose 04 636 Impaktech cage vibration - deejmx87 - 06-02-2015 No the frame and everything is solid. When I got the bike I stripped it down and checked all the welds and everything and its all good. I took the cage off last night and it didn't vibrate whatsoever. I think I know what the vibration is coming from now that I put the cage back on. On the right side my fairings rest against and touch the bar that mounts to the motor and also I didn't cut a big enough hole for the crossbar on the lower fairing so that bar rests on the plastic as well. I think the vibration has to be coming from the cage touching the fairings cuz when I listen to it deeply it does sound like plastic vibration, not metal. So I'm thinking I'm gunna put a dremel to it and open up the holes a little more and where the cage touches the fairing by the motor mount putting some rubber stripping. Hopefully this does it. 04 636 Impaktech cage vibration - B-rup - 06-03-2015 Id recommend riding it and putting your foot on the cage maybe. See if you can determine which side (if not both) its comming from. I have one on my steel frame and just put one on my stock frame and like Squints said, the only vibrations ive had are from the pucks. I dont usually torque mine to be honest, but id assume if Son told you the proper torque spec its probably not wrong. 04 636 Impaktech cage vibration - deejmx87 - 06-03-2015 Ok, good to know I will try that this afternoon and hopefully I can figure out where its coming from. Thanks for the advice guys!!! |
