Badass frame half frame with vin and Mco special - OnEWhEeLNEAL - 04-05-2013 +1 I don't understand why it's advertised as it comes with a VIN # when it doesnt SMD comes with an MSO/MCO and was the first company to do so but he's not out there claiming that his frames come with a VIN# cause it don't. Same with Badass frames - it comes with an MCO and not a VIN. You're giving an MCO for a custom built frame which means you would have to go to DMV and get an inspection, in NY anyway - thats the same as going through a salvage inspection to get a rebuilt title which is a pain in the ass so you can be denied and not wind up with a title. Completely false advertising if ya ask me Stock frame/title it is. Oh well. But you should definitely stop advertising that your frames come with vin #s when they don't cause someone's gonna wind up buying one and get an MCO with no title and no VIN and be pissed the fuck off
Badass frame half frame with vin and Mco special - navajowalks - 04-05-2013 Every state is going to be different for the final process of getting registered... Places like New York and Florida I don't doubt you'll have to have bike inspected... But some places it probably doesn't and it could be very easy.. Badass frame half frame with vin and Mco special - OnEWhEeLNEAL - 04-05-2013 Okay but either way it doesn't come with a VIN# lol. I read his first thread which said he was allowed to stamp 17 digit VIN#s on frames. If you're allowed to stamp a 17 digit VIN# on a frame then it should come with a title. If it doesn't then what good is that? Now he's not saying he's stamping VIN #s on frames but his frame comes with a VIN but when asked about it now the answer is you get an MCO but have to go to DMV to get a VIN & Title. That's the same as SMD and you may not get a VIN# if things don't go smoothly with the DMV inspection. Plus you're getting an MCO for a custom built frame - not a custom built bike like the chopper stores do so it's a lot different than what he said about dealers doing the same w cars/trucks. Those are assembled vehicles - this is a frame. Completely different. It's the same thing dealers do when getting new car/ trucks Badass frame half frame with vin and Mco special - PHOZE - 04-05-2013 Wait, is it a vin or MCO? Cuz you told me it came with a vin number, which I am certain that can't happen without a title been issued. And in order to give a title you would need a complete running bike with all D.O.T lights, turn signal, headlight, full faiting etc. not to mention you would also need the weight of the bike since its a required info on the title. And you can't get a bike's complete weight just off a frame. Guess I'm out and wont be coping that steel frame, stock frame it is for me too since I ride my bike everywhere and not haul it around or have a strictly "lot" bike. I have 5 bikes, 3 kawis, an f4i and a 600RR. They're all insured and registered and 4 out of the 5 are stunted so I need them to stay that way. You should def stop promoting that whole vin# thing tho. Bad for business and rep. Badass frame half frame with vin and Mco special - M.F. Mall Cop - 04-05-2013 My buddy just got his titled in Washington. Still shows that its a Kawi Zx6r on the title and registration. http://stuntride.com/vbstunt/showthr...=1#post1475043 Badass frame half frame with vin and Mco special - OnEWhEeLNEAL - 04-05-2013 LOL that proves it right there that Billy is not stamping VIN#s like he's claiming which is what my question was about. In Washington state it may be easy to get to that point but it wont be so easy here. But regardless, his frames do not come with a 17 digit VIN# that he stamps on them because he is not allowed to stamp VIN #s like he claimed he was. WA state riveted a vin plate onto your friends bike once it went through the DMV inspection which luckily for him it was easy in his state. Unfortunately for me and others, I can't travel to Washington with my bike in the back of my pickup just to get a legit VIN# and title. And I just noticed one of his pics says "Valid in Washington Only". I dunno what thats about cause I didn't read his thread and only looked at pics but that doesn't help if you eventually wanna sell. Oh well, I just know I'm not gonna buy because I just need a frame that comes with a title which his doesn't but he should stop advertising that his frames come with VIN #s cause they don't and eventually someone is gonna get fucked and be pissed off
Badass frame half frame with vin and Mco special - M.F. Mall Cop - 04-05-2013 He didn't have the mco from Billie. Just the old title from his bike. Like I said title still states its a kawi. the statement of fact is just paperwork for applying for title. The mco will just help you to register your bike as laws all differ state to state. Badass frame half frame with vin and Mco special - OnEWhEeLNEAL - 04-05-2013 I know that part but all I'm saying is I dont think Billy is stamping VIN #s because if your bike has a stamped vin it should come with a title which his doesnt. All good, I just know his frame doesn't suit what I'm looking for because he cannot provide a VIN and title but it's misleading that he is telling people that his frames come with a 17 digit VIN ttamped on it when it only comes with an MCO. Badass frame half frame with vin and Mco special - kirny - 04-05-2013 This is completely different than taking a MCO to the DMV. By ur explanation he took the title to his old bike and got it registered and is running the tags to that vin on his custom frame which is not legal lol I completely understand what Neil is saying Badass frame half frame with vin and Mco special - zprt00 - 04-06-2013 in this thread he says he's able to stamp vin numbers now. http://stuntride.com/vbstunt/showthr...t=#post1469711 |
