'09 zx6r: From glory to dust and back again - Deshi Kicks - 09-17-2012 Definitely cursed. I can ride, this bike is just ridiculous. I can't sell it, I'm upside down. Went in to the dealership, made a deal with the dude, supposed to be $9k out the door with a yoshi slip on and a hot bodies undertail. And that included finance charges. I looked over all the paper work, it was all legit. Well, they wouldn't finance me cause of my age. My granddad went back and signed the papers, I picked it up after hours, took it home. That's when I see the envelope with "$217/month" on it. Excuse me? The fuck happened to $170?! Start looking, dude drew new paper work and tricked my granddad into a $1k "prepaid maintenance program". Like $12,500 at the end of it. Needless to say I was 19 and naive, and learned my damn lesson. But even still, this bike shall not win, I will fix it, then sell it after its paid off. I've been through a lot with it, and as much hell as it's put me through, it's helped me get through a lot too so. And the clamps worked pretty good, even held when that Seqouia pulled out in front of me and I hit them. Still sketchy as fuck though, and I didn't realize the bars didn't come with clamps and was pretty well out of money. '09 zx6r: From glory to dust and back again - SQUINTS - 09-17-2012 do what u gotta do. i like my 09... get that thing finished and back riding thats what its all about '09 zx6r: From glory to dust and back again - 802bouffard - 09-17-2012 Better off getting full coverage and totaling it... Doesn't seem to be much of an issue with this bike, then just claim it '09 zx6r: From glory to dust and back again - Deshi Kicks - 09-17-2012 Last insurance quote I got for full coverage was $759/month with a $800 down payment. Or something like that. Edit: Just did this one. I customized it to basically have the most basic liability coverage, as well as the most basic bike coverage. Look at the price. It's more down than the bike books out at in excellent condition ![]()

Wheelie the shit out of that donkey
'09 zx6r: From glory to dust and back again - buddy lenzin - 09-17-2012 Fuk me and I thought my insurance was high. That shit is damn ridiculous!!!!! '09 zx6r: From glory to dust and back again - SQUINTS - 09-17-2012 yup... insurance companies do a little math equasion to figure out the likelyhood of someone at that age living and how long they will live or keep bike in good condition. obviously this example they believe it will be trashed in less than a year....... as it is now. thats why as a young kid you NEED to get a used bike. fuck buying new. im 25 now and my insurance on my 09 zx6 is still higher than i paid for my 03 r6 insurance full coverage 4 years ago. '09 zx6r: From glory to dust and back again - WHEELIE - 09-17-2012 +1 ![]() Quote:
