04 636 clean air mod - navajowalks - 02-23-2012 The race way per say is block offs on the valve cover and a filter on the crank case... The stunt way is venting the crank case threw the valve cover... Like in rahs pic... Only other thing is there is a vacum line on the throttle bodies that you got to plug... That normally works the pair valve he replaced... And block the open holes you leave on the air box... 04 636 clean air mod - Shane Klar - 02-23-2012 Sweet, thanx bro...also, this is the shit that i took off and the pic of the hose with the screw in it, i think it might be right but not sure. I kept seein people sayin to make sure you block the extra hole on the tank...i know about blockin the airbox holes. well since i had to take that charcoal box off, one of the hoses ran to a filter of some sort just in front of the battery tray then ran up to the gas tank...I left the filter there and everything the way it was and just put a screw in the hose where i disconnected it from the box...anyone know if i did it correct? i ran it til it warmed up and it never threw a code or anything. Also, i'm not familiar with the vaccum line from the throttle bodies, i never pluged that....PIC please? 04 636 clean air mod - navajowalks - 02-23-2012 I don't know anything about the extra stuff on the ca models... But that little thing in your first pic is the pair valve.. its vacuum controled on the 03/04s so there is a vacum line that isn't plugged in when you removed that... It should be sitting right on top of the valve cover when that valve was at... Sorry I don't have any pics 04 636 clean air mod - SBxFlyHigh - 02-23-2012 You remove that lil filter and all the hoses connected to it .. The one marked with the blue dot should go all the way to the throttle bodies, disconnect it and cap that port on the throttle bodies .. And on the tank there are 3 ports in the back, you need to cap the middle and the right one and BAM just like other states bike Hope I explained it clear enough .. Sorry no pix at the moment If ur ever in Ventura I could help u out with it 04 636 clean air mod - Shane Klar - 02-24-2012 thanx a whole heap mon....i think it's pretty clear...this state reg is bullshit...lol...always makin shit more complicated than it needs to be...thanx for the help tho guys...i'll post a new pic on Sat to see if i did it correctly 04 636 clean air mod - jordanv3122 - 02-24-2012 http://www.kawiforums.com/stunters-c...-oil-leak.html 04 636 clean air mod - Shane Klar - 02-24-2012 well it can't get any clearer than that jordan...thanx alot bro 04 636 clean air mod - Shane Klar - 02-25-2012 ok, so i'm pretty sure everything right now....i removed all the cali bullshit and put a screw in that vacuum hose from the throttle body and capped the middle and right ports on the back of the gas tank...any thing i messed up, please let me know...i ran it til it warmed up and it seemed fine...haven't taken it out yet...sorry about the small pix but i still don't know how to put em in this message and make em big instead of doin the attachment like it is now....thanx for all the help guys
04 636 clean air mod - Shane Klar - 02-25-2012 oh yea and like SBxFLYHIGH said, i also capped the port that was connected to that cali filter thing 04 636 clean air mod - Shane Klar - 02-27-2012 ok, now i have a new dilemma...ScarryJerry said, "if you take it off on the ca model after 500 miles your engine will blow. It is how the government made kawasaki rig them so people wouldnt take them off." Can you guys please help me out...I'm gettin so frustrated with this CA bullshit now...Much Appreciated fellas |
