Just giving perspective. I buy silver, even at the current price, I might buy more. But I also buy food, if you bought $1000 worth of food a year ago and we have 20% inflation, then you made 20% on your investment and you have something of instant tangible value. Something you can survive on.

As for the climb in price, you will see it keep going up. Smart people see the economy is still not recovering and that they are playing with the unemployment data.

Yeah, I am lucky to live in the area I do. I got so see a lot of good and bad when I traveled for work when I was younger, but even here things are getting worse. Getting out of Dodge is not a bad idea. I think you are seeing the end of an error (yes I meant to spell it that way) with Detroit? Big business built that city and when that business was forced out of the state, it killed the city. Sometimes you have to make small sacrifices to keep the bigger good, the UAW doesn't care about the city, just their dues and that killed the industry. Maybe you have a different insight?

not really. I dont really know all that much about the impact of UAW. just following current events on Detroit over the past few years, its been a slow trainwreck.
