Kucinich has introduced House Joint Resolution 100, a proposed constitutional amendment that would completely bar interest groups from influencing elections by requiring that all federal campaigns be financed exclusively with public funds and prohibit any expenditures from any other source.

Unfortunately this doesn't address the "personhood" issue of corporations (or that bribery isn't "speech"). Under this bill, corporations would technically still be able to donate to a specific candidate.....because they are considered people.
That being said, this is still the best solution I've seen so far to start working on our corrupt election system.

Same here. First I was annoyed that the house clapped for 10 minutes. Then within the first 10 minutes of Obama talking I was completely disgusted. By the end, my blood was boiling. How do people not know that the entire speech was 1) a campaign speech 2) COMPLETE BULLSHIT...........?????

as long as there is a predominant 2 party system, it will keep people polarized and focused on trivial partisan issues. people don't realize it's bullshit cause they're either fans or not paying attention.

i honestly feel like if i vote for someone other than ron paul else i'm just voting for the same fcked up shit they might tweak things here and there, thats why i don't consider myself part of the anyone but obama group. i am a ron paul supporter.

some scary, SCARY candidates this year.
I plan on voting for ron paul. Personal freedom FTW.

i'm less scared of romney (i think) than newt, who really scares me with some of his shit...he's right up there with obama imo.
to me, personal freedom and responsibility is really the ONLY issue bc i feel that a lot of our other problem areas are because of decreasing personal freedom (from more regulations all the way to the increasing police state and constant nonsensical wars) and lack of personal responsibility (entitlements, etc). all candidates except RP are willing to sacrifice basic freedom of choice for any number of things: safety, economy, etc
