loading a bike into a lifted truck - stunt305 - 05-04-2011

I have a fold up motorcycle ramp that I drilled two holes in where it folds and shove bolts through there so the ramp arcs a bit I also use another ramp to walk the bike up in gear. I have used a long arched ramp from a lawnmower store an that is the shit just a bitch to lug around such a long ramp

Seen that there is one with a curve in it to keep it from bottoming out. Should work.

What do you guys do if your bike gets smashed up and you can't get it running again to load the bike yourself? I am a small guy so loading a dead bike into the back of a truck almost feels impossible to me alone. All the good spots near me don't have loading docks or anything to help

I've only had to load up my bike a handful of times when it won't run but I just do a running start get the bike as high up the ramp as I can then grab front brake bounce bike back and forth use the momentum to slowly load it up

yeah I know but only 2 riders where I am and gotta put in work when I can. Would save me over 50 miles of driving each time out to get to the current lot where there is a loading dock

ya I had a whole design setup but figured it was too much effort so just waiting to build up funds for a trailer which would be much more convenient
