YES, event insurance covers the people who's teeth you may or may not knock in during a "episode", your own health ins covers yourself

I think that came across wrong. I meant $1,000 that it would cost for the event insurance won't go far if you don't have insurance and you loose control of your bike and hurt someone.

a local gig we have set up to do a couple shows pays our insurance. Other than that, wavers and prayers. lol.

I looked into stuntin at a school here that is shut down, and they still want event insurance or somethin like that. Such a sick spot too! even better, it's ten feet from my apartment! Cops don't show up when i ride. Gotta love stock exhausts!!!

I just paid 1400.00 for a 2 day policy with a 3 million dollar coverage.
Its a liabilty policy that covers any spectators and event employees

Yeah. I usually see it from 500-1000 per day event.

What some people don't realize is even with a "legal binding waiver" that clears that you won't sue. its not saying that the person you chuck your bike into won't etc etc. These special event insurance policies usually have 1mil to 3 mil. I bid a show last year where the venue specified a 2mil + liability. People may think holy shit thats alot, but how many people you know got into a fender bender and made 50k-100k? I know a few. Now imagine if your watching and you catch a 636 to the grill. Yeah exactly...

If you are doing shows within a bigger event sometimes you can have the promoter put you on that events insurance.. or get them to sign off on your waiver that they are the responsible party for the event as a whole.

That sounds about right dude, we had steel locking fencing all around us. But 3mil is a good number to have as coverage, people are sue happy these days so you gotta cover your ass for sure

On the other hand, right now Im bitter. I was just turned down a show at a dealership because his insurance said my insurance wasnt enough. WTF?? He said even with my 2,000,000 insurance policy, his insurance company said they could still go after his for the dealership and they disapproved saying they wouldnt cover him. I was like whats the point in even having insurance. Could have been an excuse, but really Im not sure.
