Need help on stoppies - da Liks - 01-31-2011 no doubt.. Need help on stoppies - BIGBEN954 - 02-01-2011 I got a dunlop qualy on the front of my 954 set at 36lbs hooked up great all weekend. If your settings are stock the compression will be stiff and your rebound will be slow. ive heard of people setting their forks up in the tree about 1/2 in higher. depends if you run clip ons on top or bottom of your top tripple. Keep your head up and look ou tin front of you dont look strait down at your fender. And i have seen people really stab at the brake when they are starting the stoppie. Kind of what ya do when you are learning when you come to a stop and stab the lever. Get into the lever slower and get as much weight as you feel comfortable over the top tripple might help your locking up the tire issue. I set my lever all the way out so there is hardly any play before the lever gets into pressure. Just some stuff i have learned and heard hope it helps. There isnt a deffinitive stoppie setup ive found or heard i might like my setup completely different than the next guy. Go practice and just play with settings, make sure you count clicks in rebound/compression settings incase you dont like it you know right where to go back to. hope it helps man.... |
