I learned them by clutching up a good sitdown then just hopped up when I felt comfy. After like the third one its easy and you can just change the timing. One big thing no one said was when you jump bring your feet up and bring them right together. When I learned I actually kinda slammed my feet into each other to be sure I didn't miss with one.

Which way is better to learn

1. Ride a sitdown for a sec than jump
2. Clutch and hop to it and just repeat it

Yea ride the sitdown for a sec so you know its stable and at bp because when you land on the seat the bike is gonna wobble a bit. Once you get comfortable with it just wait less and less time until you are jumping as it comes up. Super cool feeling.

heres a great way to learn, and you get flatland bmx skills to boot..

ok start on a bmx bike that has back pegs, get going like 4-5 mph sitting down on the pedals (sitting normally), give one good push on the pedals and pull up. like hard, to the point you would normaly loop w/o brake, then as its coming up jump back and land one foot on the back peg and other like flamingo (learn back peg manuals with the brake a little so you get used to peg bp. then just keep working till when you land on the pegs you can keep going.......

dbike approach: jump late then work towards jumping earlier

motorcycles ben motorcycles ..lol

they really are super easy , i mean if a 42 year old can do it any one can and once you get it down do it to spreader then do it to froggy ..

another variation that feels scary at first but is easy is to clutch the bike up and jump off the back to the ground then jump to ss or spreader..
