If none of that works, hook a vacuum gauge up to the system and check the pull..... make sure you dont' have a loss somewhere that would give the MAP sensor or other sensors garbage readings. Also, while the plugs are out it never hurts to do a compression check...... just to see where you're at.

TPS = throttle position sensor. You'll most likely find it near the throttle bodies, perhaps left hand side near the linkages, but don't quote me on that. Just seems like the most logical place to me.

If i crank the idle to 4k and shut my bike of and restart it right away it will idle at 2.5k until i rev it up then it goes back to 4k.....same if i do really slow stuff on low rpms the idle wont go back to 4k it will stay low until i hit the throttle....hope you guys could understand this...any ideas?

how do you check them to make sure they are working properly?

03 636 weak idle pull - old man roger - 04-05-2010

i have only done them on cars but i suspect it's probably the same way , probably need a repair manual to find out what reading you are supposed to get from each one with a volt meter either by reading voltage or resistance
