2014 Street Triple Build!!! - Mr Weber - 08-04-2026 So after talking with other street triple riders, I find out the the lock pin for the seat is a weak point and can pull out of the seat pan pretty easily, so I decided to add a couple anchors so I can bolt the seat pan to the sub frame. I will have to keep a close eye on how well this holds up. If I would have done more research I would have added them before I had my seat done so I did'nt have to open up the strap tabs. Here are a few pics to show what I have done. I may add 2 more closer to the tank for added support The anchor I used ![]() The anchor installed ![]() Bolted to the subframe (not the correct bolt pictured lol)

I tried gettin him to do some work to it but hes a douche he wont touch it. Yah post some pics please. 2014 Street Triple Build!!! - Mr Weber - 01-23-2015 The first week I started tearing it down and boxing up most of the nice parts, lights, tank ect.. removing wiring, chain, sprockets and began researching and ordering parts!
2014 Street Triple Build!!! - Mr Weber - 01-23-2015 After doing a bunch of searching, there was only one company that made a caliper bracket for the 13-14 models. Jokerider makes a real nice bracket but it's a 300mm big rotor kit, and I had actually already bought one from them for my F4i. I personally did not like it at all. The craftsmanship, fit and finish were really good, but the breaking power was just too much for my liking. So I did some measuring and it just so happened the axle diameter and rotor diameter was the exact same as my F4i! So I borrowed my NDC bracket from my F4i to see if I could make it work!!
2014 Street Triple Build!!! - Mr Weber - 01-23-2015 Instead of completely destroying the F4i bracket, I just machined an adapter bracket that bolts up to it just incase I ever want to use it on a F4i again. The spacing was a little different so I also had to do a little milling and shimming to get it correct!
2014 Street Triple Build!!! - Mr Weber - 01-23-2015 A custom 60 tooth sprocket should work nicely with a 14 tooth front! 520 conversion
2014 Street Triple Build!!! - JBoom - 01-24-2015 That bracket came out good bro great idea. How does it work? 2014 Street Triple Build!!! - Mr Weber - 01-24-2015 The caliper allignment looks real good, but it will be a few weeks before I see most of my other parts and actually be able to test it out. 2014 Street Triple Build!!! - JBoom - 01-24-2015 Please keep this thread alive. Im am seriously considering buying my friends speed triple and have the same plans as you in mind. |
