Foot brake problem - broham - 08-11-2013

yesterday I was seriously struggling with everything footbrake. I quickly realized that when i hit my fb, it would drag a little until i blipped the throttle. I have a stock fb master and calliper. (03 636). I don't know how to diagnose brake problems. Is my caliper causing this?

note: I don't have a spring on my fb lever

Probably need to move this to the help and how to section to get more responses. I would start by cleaning the caliper. I don't run the spring either.

+1 I like to put the pin in a drill with 1000 grit sandpaper if dirty, then followup with a rag and some polish.

^^^ This! Pad could be hanging up on the guide if the piston isn't sticking.

I've even used chain/cable lube on the pin to lube it. LOL I've used chain lube on a lot of stuff. Works great on the Clutch arm and the throttle body pullies too. LOL

that... and also make sure that ur pedal isnt the part thats sticking. the peg could be on a little too tight and causing it to bind up some, or might be real dirty/ rusty between the peg and pedal
