Tail light strips - 762SPR - 10-02-2012

So here I am typing this with one hand, icing the other... I mouse trapped while working on SS today because I started going back too far and for some reason thought it would be a good Idea to pull the clutch with the brake SS is really uncomfortable for me so I think I just sort of panicked. But I have now decided since I have my roundbar built that it's time to learn to park the bike on its tail! but that means ditching the stock tail light so I don't scrape it off.

I have heard people talking about the LED tail light bars but never really payed attention. Who makes a good one?

This one looks good but its kind of pricey.

Any thoughts?

I just use red led strips from advanced auto partake. The ones kids put inside their cars

come to think of it, I don't really need the indicators on it because I'm not using the switch for them right now. I guess I'll run around locally and see if I can find something, if not I'll order something online I guess.

If you need tail light, stop, and turn signals any bar like that is going to be about 50. You can find running lights for 10$ at local auto stores. The little trailer light type things.

I wouldn't get something that isn't purpose built for motos. Get something more generic like the light bars for cars or trailers. Much cheaper and essentially same product

I just use the flexible LED strips that you can trim to length, add a resistor for the running light circuit and diode isolate it from the brake light circuit
