'09 zx6r: From glory to dust and back again - Deshi Kicks - 09-17-2012

Ok so, I bought this bike new towards the end of 2010. And it has been hell on earth. I swear this thing is cursed. I have been riding for 9 years this December, and I have been in more wrecks with this bike than I have in 9 years altogether. And only like 2 of them were at fault. Either way, I'm bored, and wanted to post some pictures. So here goes it.

How she started:

A week later:

Two days after that some bitch pulled out in front of me, swerved to avoid and lost it:

So I decided, fuck the fairings and got some new bar ends and an ebay Acerbis knockoff:

Then I was all like, fuck that exhaust, let's make it shorter:

Then the road was all "hey it's dark, let's teach this fucker a lesson about ebay knockoff lights and cut 90* out of nowhere and make him superman it into the ditch!":

Then I was like "fuck this, time to make a wheelie making mother fucker":

Part way through this adventure, I realized I had to ghetto fab some shit to run the dirty bars I ordered, as well as the other ebay light I bought (no, did not earn my lesson). Used pipe hanger clamps to mount the lights, and as bar mounts. Not smart.:

Then some dipshit pulled out in front of me, I hit them, broke the triple clamp and some other shit, so I sold the sprocket cause I was broke and went back to this:

So I was riding along to bike night one night, took a corner too fast getting off the interstate and hit a guard rail:

Then I let my buddy ride it and I drove his Jeep, a car cut a corner and ran him off the road and left me with this:

So then I was like, psh, time to try to go the wheelie route again:

Then my exhaust had fallen off on the interstate, so my buddy/manager was like "let's weld a Celica resonator to your midpipe and then your headers so you'll have some sort of exhaust. We can make it work, while we're on the clock at work, at a brake shop":

Then my headers decided they didn't like my setup and broke. The weld didn't break, the damn part on the headers broke, so that setup is gone. Then I was like "I'm gonna do a second gear wheelie" so I clutched it up, but I was actually in first gear, almost looped, came back down hard and just lost it. Now I have this:

PLANS:

Stator cover - $150
Oil filter - $18
Oil - $55
Galfer front brake pads - $64.99 (x2)
Galfer rear brake pads - $35.99
Valve adjustment - $0
Cage - $305
Subcage - $285 (estimated)
M4 Full system - $850
NGK Spark plugs - $4.99 (x4)
K&N air filter - $58.99
Galfer Front SS brake lines - $90.99
Galfer rear SS line - $49.99
EBC front rotor - $210.99
EBC rear rotor - $130.99
Brembo 16x18 master - $264.98
Brembo reservoir w/hose - $14.99
HoHey dual caliper bracket - $145.99
HoHey 4 piston adapter - $44.99
Hel 80" SS line - $69.99
Nissin 4 piston caliper - $40-75
Trimmed OEM Honda pads - $34.99
New tank - $450
GPR stabilizer - $445.99
Fairings - $999.99
Headlight assembly - $250
HIDs - $80

Plus powder coat frame, wheels, outer fork tubes, triple clamp upper and lower, rear sets, swingarm, crank case, stator cover, and probably a few other things I'm forgetting. Pretty much the stator cover, oil, and brake pads will come first. After that I'll buy a cage, then subcage, then start working on the HB parts. Once I'm to where I'm not always falling and such, THEN I'll get the fairings and powdercoat etc. Long term project.
