Drz125L stunt parts help!! - 50stunt - 01-09-2012

So im building up a 2005 drz 125L well attempting too so far I bought a rear HB that was supposed to mount right up and work but didn't work.. So now I have to rig up a mount for the cable to mount on the swing arm to hold the cable somehow anyway I have about $400 worth of spending money left so does anyone know where I could get a 12 O clock bar for it and street tires? Also I heard theres a suspension mod you can do where you put kx 100 forks on it and a cr 85 rear shock? I know not many people stunt these bikes but the motors last forever and I picked it up for $700 so I couldn't complain.. But if anyone has any input I would greatly appreciate it..

125L is the shit

my 12 bar was 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch solid steel square bars welded down the sides all the way down to the gas tank (you wont be running the tail or number plates) with a scrape bar of 1 inch by 1/2 inch. the welder (just some local guy) put a cross bar closer to the sub frame for support as well as a cross bar (only on the non muffler side) from mid way between the scrape bar and subframe, to the actual subframes own vertical support bar that leads down to the foot peg. give me a sec ill get you a photo. Worked great and never had an issue. metal dimensions are up to you of course, but i was like 15 and had no idea what was good or bad

http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...58085_n.jpgthe back part i spray painted orange but the side bars run all the way down, the support bar is hidden by the muffler
btw remove the air box and let the carb run open, oil will get in and bog like hell otherwise, let the cranck case hose just stay open and zip tie it so it doesnt flop around, the idle holds well enough, street tires were a bitch to find but do-able

i never did a hb, but to operate idle i just srewed in the adjuster on the left side of the carb, not enough to where it actually holds idle or else without a hb you cant do seat standers or anything, but if you do it a little and lift the choke up as if your starting the bike, idle is great.

WOW I honestly did not expect to get any responses on this
Thanks for the info on the 12 bar and ya I may run something like that ill just have to see if I can get someone to wield me up something for the 12 bar.. Any idea on street tire size? If not no big deal and ya the rear handbrake pissed me off I use a rear HB for a lot of stuff I like doing slow circle wheelies on the seat and with my feet over the bars.. Well I guess im just gonna take it to a shop somewhere and tell them what im looking for and see if they can hook me up. But ya the Drz 125L is an amazing bike I wish Ryan Moore had some bolt and go parts for this on his website oh well at least I will have a very unique bike hahaha. But ya it should be a step up from my crf50. The 50 was cool and I still have it but it gets me no respect compared to people stuntin street bikes so im hoping to make this look presentable for when I do shows in my town with others on their 600's lol.

i dont remember, as long as the diameter numbers are the same your good, i know that both tires were wider, the front was street and the rear a dual sport of some kind. with the street tire its a stoppie machine though. also, screw those rings on top of the rear spring down so the spring will compress, it makes the bike sit taller and stiffer, so circles and jumping from pegs to hc or to special k on a clutch up are easier on it.

order a clamp style peg from 50 stunt to clamp to the subframe support on the left side for RL's as well. your screwed on the left otherwise, but you can kinda place your foot on the fron part of the right side swing arm. stunting that 125 was the most fun, plus besides the weight its dimensionaly similar to a big bike (at least more so than a 450) and it made a difference when working on circles. the gear box is solid too, you can shift clutchless all the way to six on it and it wont even hiccup.

Thanks man and screw it down ok ill do that tomorrow because right now its so soft when i clutch it up the rear end moves around so much I have to stay on top of the rear brake like crazy.. and alright im probably going to order the streets when the dirt tires are down to practically nothing which will probably be soon knobbies on street not so great lol. As for the pegs im thinking about drilling some bike pegs out and sticking them on the axle for now im mainly trying to knock out the big things right now. And the drz bikes are so amazing lol here ill put a pic of it up...

Its really clean for an 05 plus for $700 I couldn't say no lol

So are you looking for street tires or supermoto rims? Tires youre be able to get from anywhere rims can be a bit different story though. U can check ebay for drz 400 wheels and try fitting them on to your bike, though i think u will then need to mod the rear brake to a disc one, but u can also check rims from other bikes.

And dont leave the carb totally open because then it will suck up too much air and dirt and it will harm the engine, get a free flowing foam filter it wont take as much space.

As for the handbrake it looks like you have a drum brake on it which means you will have to do something like this

Basicly just get the brake lever from a bike or something, get some wire, and some bolts and improvise.

Im just looking for tires themselves I have 3 bikes one of them being a kx 125 ( 2 stroke ) so if I want to go play around in the dirt ill have that bike. This is a stunt bike only pure street unless I want to go mess around in yards or something.. But ya Ill probably use a foam filter and jet it. I think its a 102.5 main right now and thats stock and its already lean so ill probably bump it to a 107 jet maybe even a 110 not sure jets are cheap so Im not concerned. And see I have a rear HB cable and a perch on there as of now but Im trying to rig up a clamp to hold the cable from moving so it doesn't have so much slack in the cable.. Its honestly running me nuts lol if i dont figure it out soon ill post some pics up and see what you guys think of what might work.

ur tires are mostly beat just cut the knobs off with a sharp knife and do some burnouts for a while and you'll be good to go. i just sold a crf100 05 that was mint for $500, woulda made a great stunter but just not my thing. if i didnt have the wr i woulda built it to play on but since i have that i have no need for one.
