\r\n \r\n HA HA HA I agree with you Heather....they are going about it the wrong way.....but it\'s always some group and some issue and it\'s pointless to discuss......\r\n

Occupy THIS!!! - *MeatballStunts* - 08-13-2026

\r\n \r\n I dont understand what the whole thing is about but in my opinion people should stop blaming others and should be out looking for jobs instead of wasting their time protesting.\r\n

Eh....it may be pointless, but I like the discussion; I like to hear others thoughts, maybe some who are involved and have a passion for their "message".

In a sense, I agree - however, there is blame to be had. But.......the place to protest isn\'t Wall Street, it\'s 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Wall Street didn\'t write those failed policies, they didn\'t spend tax payers money. We do have a very serious socio-economic problem, and it stems directly from our Government. Until we realize that we CAN fix it - (we are still America dammit!) - we will continue to have the same problems. Thomas and I had a good discussion on FB today, and I want to say again.....You cannot fault a company/corporation for being successful by way of a completely legal process. And you CANNOT govern morals!! The problem is our government, not Wall Street. \r\n

\r\n \r\n the problem is the revolving door between wall st financial "hero\'s" and public office. the less failed/successful ceo\'s we see taking office in public positions, the better off we\'ll be. wall st steers too much policy making. I won\'t demonize anyone for making money, turning a profit, etc. but we have to put an end to favoritism when it comes time to pay your dues. if I have to contribute part of my income to the government, there should be no reason a large corporation gets any breaks.\r\n

\r\n \r\n I talked to 4 different people who were attending the protest, and they were there to protest 4 different things. Good luck with that guys!\r\n

I do not see a problem with a prior (private) CEO being in a public office. At all. I have much more of a problem with career politicians! The United States is a company, is essence, and it will only survive if we treat it as one, in this "global economy". I DO agree that corporations steer policy making, and that is wrong. But again, you cannot govern morals! Close those loopholes, for lack of better word, to disallow any company from being able to sway politicians! Since the 1950\'s, people have been predicting that America would move into corporate socialism, and I think they were right. But the blame should lay solely on the Governments back, for allowing it to happen. Just my opinion, I\'d love to hear others thoughts.

\nAlthough I\'m a Ron Paul supporter, I\'ve been watching Herman Cain lately, and I like where his head is at in regards to this subject.\r\n

\r\n \r\n Also, on "breaks for corporations".....a lot of people don\'t understand that the money they make is essentially taxed at a 50% rate in the US. That\'s huge! I\'m not against corporations, and the reason being - goes straight back to the true definition of a corporation.\r\n

Occupy THIS!!! - *MeatballStunts* - 08-13-2026

\r\n \r\n I think people have too much of a "give me" attitude. Go work hard for everything like everyone else does.\r\n
