CRF150R Stunt Build Thread - Stubbz63 - 10-12-2010

Figured id start a build thread on my 07 CRF150R Enduro/ Stuntbike build. Heres a few pix of when i first got it.

First upgrade to make it more woods friendly was the +11 oz. flywheel with A/C Stator for a headlight from Trail Tech.

Also got the Trail Tech halogen headlight kit which is made awesome and is really bright, very heavy duty and nicely built compared to the off brand streetfighter lights ive had on stuntbikes.

Roughly about $325 shipped for flywheel, stator, headlight, and new switch shipped to my door

The added weight helped it a ton for tight woods trails and helps for stunting also cuz it keeps the bike from stalling so easy, almost like changing gearing for circles.

Also threw on a set of Acerbis Rally Pro Handgaurds i got off ebay new in package $50 bucks shipped. Protects levers but more importantly hands while woods riding.

Next up was to rig up a handbrake

rear master is off a 03 636, the bolt holes lined up with the factory honda ones surprisingly but it was shaped just a little different so i made a small bracket to mount to the top hole so i could tip the master back so the arm wouldnt be going in at an angle while using the footbrake.

Stole the billet Magura 16mm off my quad for the time being to test it out yesterday, deff gonna be a lot of fun with a hb on it. Fits under and around the handgaurds with no problems.

Kind of did the handbrake and had my buddy built my subframe all at the same time so i didnt get to try one without the other.

Heres some pix of the subframe build process, he kept sending me pix as he was doing it throughout the week, some may be shitty pix but you'll get the idea.

First pic is stock.

Used all solid roundbar to build subframe, few extra plates and gussets and etc.

once he got the roundbar done, he focused on the undertail exhaust and the rear pegs.

Once i got the chance to ride it all done i found im gonna need to lower the rear pegs down and back a few more inches, im thinkin 3 inches back and down should be perfect and much easier to move around on and not feel super cramped.

Ill post more pix after i make a bracket to move them down.

Im plannin on replacing the plastics anyways so i had my buddy chop whatever he needed to but still make them so they mount in the stock locations. should be able to fine tune them and fit them even better when i do the new plastics.

Heres some finished pix, gonna rock it like this for a while until winter sets in them im gonna start the teardown to powdercoat the frame, subframe, swingarm and a ton of other parts.

Hopin to find a spare rear rim i can throw a street tire on for the lots next year

damm bro bike is sick as hell

CRF150R Stunt Build Thread - Stubbz63 - 10-12-2010

thanks man, once i lower the rear pegs do the powdercoat and get new plastics this thing is gonna be fresh and minty. I can unbolt pegs anytime to go dort ridin or leave them on for most rides, kind of a hybrid machine but tons of fun
