Kleen Air Mod - the right way 03-05 R6 & 06+ R6S - Brandon L - 08-16-2010 theres been so much confusion here (and other forums)..... and ive gotten a handful of PM's asking, and seen too many threads about it. eveyones confused, heres my attempt to make it easy and a little less confusing. first you need to get the Air Induction System out....... heres a how to on removing the AIS (JUST DONT DO STEP #6, #7, or #8) (use this as referance on to remove the AIS) http://www.r6messagenet.com/forums/r...emove-ais.html now that thats out of the way and the bike is opened up, its time to do the Clean Air Mod so you dont hydro lock your engine. materials needed
first remove the AIS (air induction system) then basically replace it with the materials above (as seen in the pics & instructions below) ........
heres how it should look when done..... heres how it should look when done..... if it feels like to tight of a bend you could always turn the tee or reposition it. as long as its not kinked or bent to where it will block the free flow. and you can get your heat sheild back on you will be good. Kleen Air Mod - the right way 03-05 R6 & 06+ R6S - SDFKILLZ - 08-16-2010 Definitely make sure the hose doesnt get kinked especially with the tank all the way down. Just had a guy think his head gasket was blown cuz their was oil leaking out of it. I noticed that the kleen mod hose was kinked which I'm sure caused it to pressurize and leak oil out of the gasket. I unkinked the hose and no more leaky. Kleen Air Mod - the right way 03-05 R6 & 06+ R6S - Ridick_Bowen - 09-14-2010 Did you put the heat shield back on?

Kleen Air Mod - the right way 03-05 R6 & 06+ R6S - Ridick_Bowen - 09-14-2010 I'll finally get started on this tonight. Kleen Air Mod - the right way 03-05 R6 & 06+ R6S - Ridick_Bowen - 09-15-2010 Is the air box suppose to have a very lil port that is blocked off? It's on one of the corners of the air box. I believe it is for any overflow of oil. Also, I didn't have to tie back the AIS connector. It seems to be out of the way. It's taped to the plugs or something.
